Born in Sweden 1956. Lives and works in Majorca since 1996.
During the first part of her life Ninni worked as a school psychologist.
That she finally took the courage and turned to art and eventually was admitted
to Gerleborgsskolan in Stockholm was entirely due to her becoming seriously ill when
having her son nearly twenty years ago. The illness made her revalue much in life, be
dependent on others and therefore forced to find new ways back to herself.

"Without a serious kick I probably never would have got to
where I am today - to the art and Majorca", she says. Today Ninni makes a living
from her art and has had great success at galleries in Sweden, England, Spain, Germany and New York.
Her motifs are delightful, spontanious paintings in a naϊvist style. Often with
children but also distinctive animals like hens, cows and lambs. Sometimes walking among
blue trees with bright oranges.
In a review 19th December 2006 in the "Ostgotacorrespondenten" Ewe Ohlsson
describes her art as follows: "It is hard not to be carried away by her straight
forward attitude and uncomplicated depiction of playing girls, on a bike, with skipping-rope
or other everyday activities. Nothing remarkable at all, but painted with such a captivating charm that your heart
melts. The colours shine in their direct application without sofisticated nuances. I love this painting." |
